Hello! I have almost 10 years of experience in providing therapy and have been in private practice for the past four years. Originally from Chicago, IL, I was part of a group practice serving the Chicagoland area, living the 'windy city' life. Life's journey brought me out to Southern California, where I followed my dream of establishing my own private practice, Embrace Psych. I continue to serve Chicagoans via online therapy, while planting new professional roots in Orange County, CA - providing both online and in-person therapy to those who seek it. I am proud to be a psychologist, and hope to help normalize the importance of being proactive & preventive with our emotional healthcare.   • The work we do will be tailored to your needs. I do not believe in a “one size fits all” treatment and we will determine what the best plan is for you! 
  • Therapy will help you approach your concerns in new ways. You will learn new skills, gain different perspectives, be listened to without judgment or expectations, and be encouraged to self-reflect on a deeper level. 
  • The therapist-client relationship is important and finding the right fit is key. I value your health and will prioritize your well-being during this process. Beginning therapy can be overwhelming for some & I hope to make it as comfortable as I can for you!
Initial Consultation
Whether it be by phone call, email, or a complimentary in-person meeting; we will briefly discuss your interest in therapy prior to a first session. I will answer any questions you may have & help you determine if we would be a good match for your goals.

We call this the 'Intake Session'. This a 50-minute meeting where we will complete necessary paperwork, discuss your current concerns, review history, and specify goals for therapy.

We will continue to meet for 50-min sessions (typically weekly at first) as we work through a customized therapy plan to meet your personal goals. We will address current concerns, reduce symptoms, increase understanding & awareness, identify obstacles, and put your plan into action as you move towards internal balance & increased wellness.

Timeline
It is difficult to predict an exact timeline for therapy. It will differ for each person, depending on personal goals, readiness for therapy, & current concerns. We will assess your therapy plan as you progress, making any changes as needed. We are client-focused, with you being the priority, and will tailor our approach accordingly.

Online Therapy

I provide therapy both in-person and via telehealth. Telehealth (or teletherapy, online therapy, online counseling, virtual therapy, etc.) is provided primarily through video format; however, may also be audio only if you do not have access to video. Online therapy* is a desirable option for many individuals and is scientifically proven to be just as effective as in-person therapy. I am licensed to provide online therapy to those residing in California or Illinois.

I am experienced in providing online therapy & have found many people to benefit from the convenience, flexibility, and ease of connecting online. For some, a hybrid of in-person and online sessions may be ideal.

Embrace Psych is located in Newport Lido Medical Center (NLMC), adjacent to Hoag Memorial Presbyterian Hospital, and is a calming, private space for us to begin our work together.
When driving, Google Maps will navigate you to the back of the building where you will pull a ticket to access the building’s parking lot. NLMC has two buildings, 361 (Tower 1) and 351 (Tower 2). Please enter building 351 and take the elevator or stairs up to the 2nd floor. Once you exit the elevator, turn right down the hallway and you will find the office on your right hand side.
We are conveniently located in coastal Newport Beach, CA (just miles away from Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Laguna Beach, Lake Forest, Yorba Linda, Mission Viejo, & Laguna Niguel.) We are easily accessible from the 55 and 405 freeways & 73 toll road; PCH; John Wayne Airport; South Coast Plaza; Fashion Island & Newport Harbor.
